Montañita, Ecuador Used to be It, now maybe Mompiche?

Back in the early 1990s, Montañita had the small village feel where you knew pretty much everybody and shared waves at the point with nice locals. We moved away after living there a couple of years. When we went back to visit 3 years ago, it was disgusting. Drugs, low life. The locals we knew there were depressed because of the bad influence on the kids.

Oh well.
